This anniversary is an opportunity to collectively assess the achievements and associated best practices, along with challenges and difficulties these instruments entail, in an effort to strengthen the contribution of cultural heritage to peace, social cohesion, and reconciliation through increased awareness and multi-stakeholder dialogue.
The celebratory year will serve as a platform to create new paradigms by triggering in-depth reflections on the past, present and future applications of the 1954 Hague Convention and its two Protocols.
This Information Meeting with the Permanent Delegations to UNESCO will present an overview of the proposed activities associated with the anniversary.
