Higher Education Support

Social-Emotional learning

UNESCO monitors the status of access to higher education, especially for women, and shares findings with key stakeholders. UNESCO maps the higher education service providers and identifies the existing female students’ needs to inform planning for supporting their higher education learning opportunities. UNESCO provides technical assistance to ensure fair and transparent recognition of qualifications in line with international standards.
In support of the implementation of the Asia-Pacific Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education (Tokyo Convention), which Afghanistan became a State Party to in February 2021, UNESCO aims to promote the quality and relevance of higher education systems, including by strengthening quality assurance and information transparency in Afghanistan.
