Getting ready to promote greening schools at COP28- Greening schools webinar #5
The fifth webinar of the UNESCO-UNFCCC Webinar Series: Climate Change Education for Social Transformation aims to help participants navigate COP28 by highlighting the importance of greening education to tackle climate change, especially through greening schools.
Building on the momentum through this series of webinars and the growth of the Greening Education Partnership (GEP), which to date includes over 1100 organizations and 80 Member States, COP28 will be a critical moment to mobilize commitment to concrete action for scaling up education’s role to tackle climate change and greening every school.
The session will address the following questions:
What are your expectations and plans concerning greening schools at COP28? What are the key issues and opportunities emerging from this webinar series in promoting greening schools that should be reflected in the discussion at COP28?
How can collaboration be fostered to amplify the key messages and to promote greening schools at COP28 and beyond?
