Film shows MAB pioneer ideas, projects and challenges in Spain

The film 'Man and the Biosphere Programme in Spain' presents the work and objectives of the UNESCO MAB Programme – a programme that promotes pioneering ideas, global projects and challenges for humanity.

The film shows the work of the MAB Programme in Spain and the role of the Spanish MAB National Committee led by the Autonomous Authority for National Parks (OAPN). Using eye-catching images from different biosphere reserves around the country, the film explains the contribution of these sites to Spain and the World Network of Biosphere Reserves.

Today, Spain has 45 biosphere reserves, making it the country with the second largest number of biosphere reserves in the world, just behind the United States of America.

The film was produced by the Autonomous Authority for National Parks (OAPN)under the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment.
