Exhibition "Magtymguly Fragi and the cultural heritage of Turkmenistan"

From April 22 to 26, 2024, an exhibition entitled "Magtymguly Fragi and the Cultural Heritage of Turkmenistan" will be held at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the Turkmen poet and philosopher.

The exhibition will showcase the poet's manuscripts, as well as the beauty and diversity of Turkmen culture and its history and traditions. Visitors will be able to discover the poet's works and rich literary heritage, as well as a variety of Turkmen arts and crafts, most of which are inscribed on UNESCO's intangible heritage list, such as carpets, jewelry, clothing and musical instruments.

The exhibition opening will take place on Monday April 22, 2024 at 5:00 pm in Salle des Pas Perdus, and will be followed by a cocktail reception.

In the opening ceremony of the exhibition, a fashion show of traditional Turkmen clothing will be held.

Organized by the Permanent Delegation of Turkmenistan to UNESCO, Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.
