In June 2016, more than 80 key partners representing UN agencies, civil society organizations and non-governmental organizations, including foundations, the private sector, early childhood development regional networks, academics, think tanks and related global initiatives met to establish the Early Childhood Development Action Network (ECDAN) aiming to catalyze action and galvanize partnership for early childhood. Since 2022, ECDAN has been chaired by UNESCO.
The ECDAN Executive Leadership Council will meet at UNESCO Headquarters to discuss strategic planning and collectively reflect and chart the path forward for the early childhood care and education movement.
