The exhibition invites visitors to engage with the topic of language and languages. The title is deliberately ambiguous and is intended to reflect Luxembourg’s complex linguistic situation.

The exhibition covers, among others, the following themes: multilingualism, linguistic varieties and dialects, history, linguistic evolution and the Luxembourgish language in literature and in the media. In particular, the following aspects are highlighted:

 

  • What does official and societal multilingualism look like in Luxembourg?
     
  • What is Luxembourgish and how does it work today?
     
  • How has the Luxembourgish language evolved over the last 200 years?
     

    Besides audiovisual material, the exhibition also features interactive elements, allowing you to actively participate using your smartphone

    The content is in Luxembourgish, French, German and English.
