Comprehensive approach to the Human Rights of LGBTIQ populations in forced displacement for journalists and communicators

The main objective is to reach at least 100 media outlets, including television, radio, print and digital press, and at least 50 journalists or communicators from these media outlets, both in rural and urban areas.
LGBTQ Journalists

In collaboration with the Institute on Migration and LGBTIQ Refuge for Central America (IRCA Casa Abierta), the project aims to train journalists and communicators on the importance of addressing human rights and LGBTIQ populations in forced displacement.

The goal is to raise awareness of discrimination and the importance of human rights among journalists and communicators regarding LGBTIQ migrant and refugee populations.

Associated activities

  • Training and information processes for journalists and communicators.
  • Proposal of a media agenda on human rights for LGBTIQ migrant and refugee populations.
  • Generation of videos and digital and printed material aimed at journalists and communicators.
  • Distribution of support material to media outlets.
  • Creation and distribution of external signs of the project.
