Canada returns antiquities to Jordan

Canada returned to Jordan antiquities, some dating back to the third or fourth century CE and the Roman period. The event took place on 26 November 2018 at the Canadian Conservation Institute in Ottawa, Canada.
鈥淐anada is pleased to return these significant heritage objects to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in keeping with our treaty obligations under the 1970 UNESCO Convention on the illicit traffic in cultural property.鈥 Pablo Rodriguez, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism.
