UNESCO launched the exhibition in the National Museum of Phnom Penh as an interactive exercise. When visitors ended their visit, they were given the opportunity to express themselves on the issues of 鈥渨ar鈥 and 鈥減eace鈥. For this purpose, they were offered colored whiteboard markers and small colored papers. They could then write their message and stick it on the walls in between the exhibition panels.

The result of the exercise was a daily increased wild grow of colored paperwork, carrying messages in many different languages, the colorful patterns adding to the exhibit itself and stimulating new visitors鈥 imagination.

The result of it all was a collage of thousands of messages in more than 30 languages, contributing to the message of the exhibit and illustrating the small catalogue at hand.
