Mobilizing US$115 million and 15 partners, UNESCO rehabilitated 124 historical homes, renovated 404 classrooms and created more than 7,700 local jobs, while supporting the recovery of Mosul¡¯s cultural and intellectual life. 

By giving Mosul back its ¡®spirit¡¯, 91Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ·×ÔÅÄ proved that culture can play an essential role in post-conflict reconstruction and the promotion of peace.

At a time when over one million animal and plant species are at risk of extinction, sustainable food choices can make a real difference for the planet. This is the message that Michelin-starred chef and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mauro Colagreco took to the COP16 Biodiversity Conference in Cali, supporting UNESCO¡¯s environmental actions.
