UNESCO Green Citizens
UNESCO Green Citizens is an initiative that connects local citizen solutions, UNESCO's scientific expertise, and the willingness of young people to engage in the fight against climate change. It highlights over 150 innovative and duplicable projects led by citizens in 65 countries, showcasing how local citizen action is a valuable asset to target climate change.
This podcast series, produced in partnership with the Klorane Botanical Foundation, invites you to discover five of these citizen projects. They are accompanied by five UNESCO experts who provide insights into the global contexts and challenges in the fields in which they specialise.
Immerse yourself in the Namib Desert, Mexico’s Sierra Gorda, Grand Bahama island, an urban forest in Australia and Morocco’s Al Hoceima National Park... in their own local environments, their daily lives, with their expectations and their vision for targeting climate change.
