Xueli Abbing
The unique beauty of Xueli Abbing led her to the modeling industry, where she found a platform to celebrate differences and raise awareness about albinism.
To sustain her efforts, Xueli Abbing set up in 2022 the Open Eyes Foundation, dedicated to combating discrimination and racism.
Xueli Abbing, who is Dutch of Chinese descent, shares UNESCO's belief that diversity enriches us all and that every individual should have the opportunity to realize their full potential.
In her capacity as UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for the fight against discrimination and racism, she took part in the fight against racial prejudice and in favor of human rights and dignity, on the occasion of the second edition of the UNESCO Master Class against racism and discrimination, at UNESCO headquarters in March 2023, and attended the Global Forum against Racism and Discrimination in Mexico City (Mexico) in November 2022 and in Sao Paolo (Brazil) in November 2023. Xueli Abbing also participated in the UNESCO global campaign #SharingHumanity alongside other Goodwill Ambassadors.
