Words on Memory: A Window into Saudi Arabia’s Documentary Heritage
This exhibition will highlight the importance of preserving and promoting documentary heritage as a means for understanding the history of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Region. By providing a platform for exploration and dialogue, the exhibition aims to enhance public interest, promote the exchange of knowledge, and encourage a sense of responsibility towards the preservation of documentary heritage.
This exhibition is part of the “Innovating Documentary Heritage for Sustainable Development in AlUla and Saudi Arabia” event, held within the framework of UNESCO’s partnership with the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU). Through this initiative, UNESCO highlights the importance of safeguarding AlUla’s invaluable records, which deepen our understanding of shared history and contribute to sustainable development in Saudi Arabia and the Arab region.
