Safeguarding Information Integrity in Times of Crisis: Lessons and Future Directions from the UNESCO-EU Partnership

UNESCO and the European Union (EU) will host a panel to discuss lessons learned and future actions for safeguarding information integrity through joint actions for conflict prevention, response to ongoing crises, and support to post-conflict recovery and peacebuilding efforts. The discussion will bring together key stakeholders to assess current efforts in combating disinformation while protecting freedom of expression and journalists and promoting media and information literacy. It will also explore areas for improvement and future innovative steps to strengthen resilience in crisis situations, ensuring that the integrity of information is preserved, and public trust is enhanced.
The session will take place from 10:30 to 12:00 at the Salle des Guichets, BIP Meeting Center in Brussels.
While registration is not mandatory, it is highly recommended.
