CMC and UNESCO discuss rural access to ICTs

Baghdad 11 February 2020

Iraqi Media and Communication Commission held a meeting with UNESCO to discuss a project aiming at providing access to information and communication technologies to rural areas in the country. The initiative aims to establish 18 ICTs centers for rural communities in Iraqi governorates as a component of the Iraqi vision 2030 for Digital Inclusion.

The project, supported by CMC, is part of the CMC 鈥淒UM strategy鈥 that was developed in 2018 with support from UNESCO Iraq Office.

CMC and Cellphones operators will support the task and UNESCO will lend its expertise to the project.
