Event
60th Meeting of National Coordinators of the Latin American Laboratory for Assessment of the Quality of Education (LLECE)

During this in-person meeting, the results of the ERCE 2025 pilot study, conducted between September 2023 and July 2024, will be presented. The pilot evaluated learning outcomes, associated factors, and socio-emotional skills. Additionally, recommendations from the High-Level Technical Council (CTAN) will be reviewed to finalise the assembly of instruments for the definitive assessment scheduled for implementation in the region throughout 2025.
The preparations for ERCE 2025 began in the second half of 2022 with an extensive curricular analysis. Throughout 2023, specific instruments were developed to measure learning achievements and associated educational contexts. The pilot application in Southern Hemisphere countries allowed for the validation of these instruments and facilitated adjustments based on technical recommendations provided during the 58th Meeting of National Coordinators held in the Dominican Republic in April 2024.
Among key topics to be addressed by attending delegations are the coordination of field operations, specific timelines for database delivery, curricular analysis, and preliminary planning for the upcoming ERCE 2030 cycle. Approximately 40 participants, including national coordinators, Chilean educational authorities, technical teams, and specialists in educational assessment, are expected to attend the meeting.
The meeting will conclude with an open seminar titled "Assessment and its Contribution to Educational Improvement and Transformation". This event will feature presentations and roundtable discussions designed to facilitate regional exchanges on how educational assessments can significantly enhance and transform education in Latin America.
