The Master Class series is part of UNESCO’s work to scale up its commitment to combat racism and discrimination. Since November 2019, the Organization has trained over 16,000 young people through immersive workshops designed to give them the keys and tools to decipher racist attitudes and behaviours. The young participants work with facilitators, and each other, committing to becoming anti-racist champions in their local communities.

UNESCO’s Global Master Class Against Racism and Discriminations returns on May 6th at Headquarters in Paris, uniting high school students from around the world to confront racism, prejudice, and intolerance. Through dynamic discussions, and a special screening of the acclaimed film Io Capitano, this flagship event will empower young changemakers to build inclusive societies rooted in respect and solidarity. Celebrity advocates Seydou Sarr and Mr. Thank You will join the event to inspire action and amplify the global call for equality, inclusion, and respect for diversity.
