15th Meeting of the Global Task Force for Making a Decade of Action for Indigenous Languages (IDIL 2022-2032)
In the framework of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages, global attention on the critical situation of many indigenous languages is being raised at international, regional and national levels, and resources are being mobilized for the preservation, revitalization and promotion of indigenous languages.
The Global Task Force is an international governance mechanism, established to ensure equitable participation of all stakeholders in the International Decade and to provide advice and guidance on the preparation, planning, implementation and monitoring progress towards attainment of the objectives of the Global Action plan. The Global Task Force provides an international framework for inclusion, openness, participation and multi-stakeholder engagement in the International Decade.
The fifteenth meeting of the Global Task Force for the preparation of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages 2022-2023 is scheduled to take place from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (CET) on 11 March 2025.
The event will take place in hybrid modality, using ZOOM facilities and in presential at UNESCO Headquarters.
Interpretation services will be provided in English, French, Spanish and Russian.
