UNESCO supports programmes to ensure equal access for all girls, boys, women and men to affordable and quality technical, vocational and tertiary education, including university. ln line with national development priorities, UNESCO helps to enhance the relevance of TVET to equip all youth and adults with the skills required for employment, decent work, entrepreneurship and lifelong learning.

UNESCO's work focuses on three key areas outlined in its global Strategy for TVET (2016-2021 ): fostering youth employment and entrepreneurship, promoting equity and gender equality, and facilitating the transition to green economies and sustainable societies.

تعمل اليونسكو على دعم برامج تكافؤ الفرص لجميع الرجال والنساء للوصول إلى تعليم تقني ومهني عالي الجودة، بما في ذلك التعليم الجامعي. وتماشياً مع أولويات التنمية الوطنية، فإن اليونسكو تساعد على تعزيز ملاءمة التعليم والتدريب التقني والمهني لتزويد جميع الشباب والبالغين بالمهارات اللازمة للتشغيل، والعمل اللائق، وريادة الاعمال والتعلم مدى الحياة.

ويركز عمل اليونسكو على ثلاثة مجالات رئيسية تم تحديدها في استراتيجيتها العالمية للتعليم والتدريب التقني والمهني 2016-2021: تعزيز تشغيل الشباب وريادة الأعمال، تعزيز العدالة والمساواة بين الجنسين، وتيسير الانتقال للاقتصادات الخضراء والمجتمعات المستدامة.

غالباً ما يتم إهمال الشباب في حالات الأزمات، لذا فإن اليونسكو تعمل على توفير الفرص لهذه المجموعة الحرجة لمواصلة تعليمهم ما بعد الأساسي والثانوي، بما في ذلك التعليم والتدريب التقني والمهني في كليات المجتمع ومعاهد التعليم العالي.

وتماشيا مع خطة الاستجابة الأردنية، فقد دعمت اليونسكو عملية تقديم مسارات بديلة للتعلم للشباب خارج المدرسة من خلال توفير إمكانية الوصول إلى التعليم والتدريب التقني والمهني.في عام 2017، تخرج أكثر من 200 شاب أردني وسوري من البرنامج التدريبي (BTEC) من المستوى الثالث، وفي عام 2018 التحق 250 طالبًا إضافيًا في برنامج (BTEC) من المستوى الثاني كجزء من المرحلة الثانية من هذا البرنامج الناجح لتطوير المهارات.

UNESCO is supporting the Ministry of Education (MoE) in planning and conducting regular tracer studies for graduates of secondary vocation education, tourism stream. The tracer study will contribute to a broader understanding of graduates’ school-to-work transition and transition to further training, higher education or entrepreneurial activities. The study’s findings will also help to enhance policies, curriculum; teaching, and learning approaches, and assess the responsiveness of MoE’s vocational programmes to current and future skills needs.

Based upon recent successes, UNESCO is continuing to focus on the expansion of TVET programming and future areas of intervention. UNESCO is supporting the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) in their reform process focusing on enhancing HR systems and building the capacity of VTC trainers.
