Diasporeines Africa

Cross-Cutting Themes

Diasporeines Africa is a French non-profit organization governed by the 1901 law, based in Paris. It brings together active women from the African diaspora, along with experts from various fields (science, finance, law, economics, entrepreneurship, etc.) who provide scientific and technical guidance to young girls and evaluate our projects. Diasporeines has developed four key areas of intervention in Africa, aimed at encouraging young women to pursue careers in STEM and digital fields:

1. "Young Girls & Digital" Competition: Raising awareness about digital professions among high school students to break stereotypes and inspire scientific vocations.

2. University Internships: Six-month internships for Master’s students focused on innovative scientific and digital projects.

3. Support for Doctoral Students: Financial and scientific support to enable doctoral students to conduct research projects in African laboratories, specifically in science and digital domains.

4. Support for Digital Entrepreneurship: In partnership with local incubators, we assist young female science graduates in launching businesses in the digital sector.

These initiatives are implemented through tripartite partnerships between Diasporeines, universities, and local entrepreneurial structures. This collaborative approach fosters the empowerment of young women through STEM and digital fields.
