Actua's National Girls Program
Actua, a charitable STEM outreach organization based in Canada, empowers girls and young women through its National Girls Program, inspiring them to embrace their unique and vital role in STEM. With over 20 years of impact and an annual reach of 25,000 participants, these all-girl programs are led by instructors who serve as inspiring role models, mentors and allies breaking down long-standing stereotypes about women in STEM and empowering girls and young women to explore areas of STEM. Actua's national network delivers these programs in addition to co-ed programming through clubs, camps, conferences and special events. Committed to gender equity, the programme welcomes cis and trans girls, non-binary and gender-diverse youth, while providing inclusivity and 2SLGBTQ+ awareness training to ensure safe, bias-free learning spaces.
