Healthcare Innovation and Technology Field Trips
The Healthcare Management Department at the College of Business, University of Doha for Science & Technology (UDST), organizes innovative field trips to Itqan Clinical Simulation and Innovation Center. This initiative exposes students, predominantly women (80% of participants), to cutting-edge healthcare technologies and simulations. As part of the healthcare informatics course, students engage in hands-on learning experiences with state-of-the-art medical equipment and innovative practices. The program aims to inspire and prepare the next generation of healthcare leaders, with a focus on empowering women in STEM fields. Itqan, recently accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, provides a world-class environment for applied learning. These field trips not only enhance students' understanding of healthcare innovation but also encourage them to envision future careers in healthcare technology and management. The initiative aligns with global efforts to close the gender gap in science and technology fields.
