Equality and Inclusion Plan (2024-2027) at CY Cergy Paris Université

Cross-Cutting Themes

CY Cergy Paris Université is committed to creating an environment where every talent within the institution has the opportunity to develop to its full potential. As part of this commitment, the university has adopted its Equality and Inclusion Plan (2024-2027), which is structured around six major themes: (1) creating new indicators and collecting gendered data,(2) guarantee fairness in recruitment, management and career advancement,(3) facilitating work-life balance,(4) combating sexual harassment, sexual violence and discrimination,(5) gender mainstreaming in teaching and research, and (6) integrating equality into governance and external relations, and certification process.

Under this framework, the university provides training sessions for staff and students aimed at deconstructing gender stereotypes and addressing sexual violence. In partnership with the Femmes et Sciences association, the Women and Science Award of CY Alliance aims to promote excellence among young female scientists in underrepresented fields and to strengthen the image and sense of belonging to CY Alliance. This program identifies and rewards talented young female researchers from the institutions and research laboratories of CY Alliance member establishments. Additionally, the university is working at implementing a dedicated reporting platform to address incidents of sexual and gender-based violence, harassment, and discrimination.
